I look at her with disgust. Bulging eyes, boned face, hair dry and unhealthy ends, split. Throat sore, stomach growling, been running on empty. She can't keep doing this; she needs help. I need to help her! She has no one else. The phone rings; I, too, have to leave her, alone in the mirror.
