Funds2org is an organization that helps with fund raising for groups like the PTSA by collecting old shoes and donating them to impoverished people in other countries. They will give us 40 cents per pound and if we get 7500 pairs we will receive $3000 without any kind of pick up or delivery fee, anything under 7500 pairs pick up will be $200. Our goal is to get at least 2500 pairs and we will net $800 after pick up. All plans are tentative right now but we are considering having a contest among the English classes and the class that brings in the most gets a pizza party. We hope to start as soon as possible but we still have a lot of details to work out and I want to work out something that does not put out the teachers to much – they have enough on their plates. Ms. Turner is going to email the teachers and see if they are willing to do this with us. This is the first time I have planned anything like this and I appreciate any advice you can offer.
