BE AN ANGEL THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

The holidays are approaching and it is time to start the Seminole High Angel Tree!  I have angels ready for sign out!  Please feel free to stop by my room today (2:30 – 3:30) or tomorrow (from 2:30 – ?) to sign one out!

For those who are not aware of what the Angel Tree is, it is a holiday program that we take students whose families are going through a rough time and make sure they have presents from Santa for Christmas.
Students are on the tree for various reasons, but most due to their circumstances are economically disadvantaged.  Currently I am signing out “angels” to anyone who would like to take one, whether it be an individual, a family, a club, a sports team or just a group of people.
If your family already sponsors an angel at the holidays, maybe you could consider taking on one of our angels or even a family of angels.
All gifts bought for an angel need to be returned NO LATER THAN December 2nd to my classroom (3-027).  Obviously, you can turn things in early.  Everything is done anonymously.  You don’t know who the students are, and they don’t even know that anyone is buying them stuff (in most cases).   I have information on each angel to help you with buying.
Also, if you know someone that should be on the angel tree, please let me know ASAP.  I cannot find people to take them if I get them too late, therefore I am asking for any referrals to the angel tree be submitted to me by November 25th.
If you can donate items such as wrapping paper, tape, gift boxes (of all sizes), or nametags it would be greatly appreciated.  Also, if you like to wrap, please watch for emails in December about wrapping “parties” after school where we could use your help.
As always, if you have items (they must be new) that you could donate to the angel tree – I will find someone to give them to.  We always welcome items such as:
Gift cards (such as Walmart, Target, and iTunes, etc.)
Movie Passes
Toiletry items ( such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, body splash/perfume, nail polish, soaps, Axe deodorant and body spray, combs, shaving cream, razors, make-up sets)
Stockings
Candy

We have angels of all ages, because we buy for the whole family not just the SHS students.  Please come and pick out an angel that you would enjoy buying for!  Once again, I am in room 3-027.
