As the year comes to an end, it marks the official departure of our seniors. Senior Step, which took place on May 12th, officially signified the juniors stepping up to take on the role of seniors.. This event included the juniors parking at the senior lot to capture pictures, reminiscing on their childhood. Nostalgia just flying through and everyone realizing slowly how they’re almost done and that they are next to graduate. After 11 years of school and working hard these juniors are able to enjoy a moment where the appreciate all the trials. 

Leadership made the class of 2027 shirts for senior step up and this marks the beginning of an unforgettable final year. It is a chance for students to celebrate how far they have come, reflect on memories made together, and look ahead to the future with confidence and excitement. Senior Step Up represents leadership, growth, and the strong bond shared by the upcoming graduating class. From school spirit to lifelong friendships, this event reminds everyone that senior year is more than classes and deadlines. It is about making memories, supporting one another, and enjoying every moment before graduation arrives.

Chiara Spann, Junior, shares how she felt during Senior Step Up: “this moment was so surreal, it felt like yesterday we were still freshmen on that campus.” Life is moving very quickly for others while the other half don’t think it is moving fast enough. Junior year is ending. The seniors are gone but now its class of 2027’s turn to take in their last year of high school and their last year of being a kid. Ava Stackpole, Junior, also shares that she “can’t wait to see what senior year has in store for us, after 12 years of school we finally can breathe after this last year, I can’t wait!”

Senior Step up is one of the best traditions that happens to upcoming seniors. This moment is sentimental and so sweet. Those pictures will forever be bittersweet memories.
