The glitz and glam of Broadway’s biggest shows is making its way to the Sunshine State. The Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts is Orlando’s premier performance venue, most notably known for hosting Hamilton this past year. As the 2018-2019 season comes to a close, Dr. Phillips has released the new season of shows for the coming year.

2019-2020 Season:

Les Miserables October 22-27

Escape to Margaritaville, The Jimmy Buffett Musical November 12-17

The Play That Goes Wrong December 3-8

Aladdin The Musical January 22-February 9

Mean Girls The Musical February 25-March 1

Miss Saigon March 31-April 5

My Fair Lady May 26-May 31

Some of the new season’s most anticipated shows include Aladdin, Mean Girls, and My Fair Lady, which recently made Broadway revivals last year. Ticket sales have not gone live yet, but are set to release soon. Tickets can be purchased online or at the box office for all events. For more updates on purchasing tickets, check out https://www.drphillipscenter.org/events/ or subscribe to their social media pages.

The Dr. Phillips Center has a variety of events other than the Broadway series, including comedy performance, symphonies, performances from the Orlando Ballet, game shows, concerts, dance performances, and more. The recent construction of the third and final theater, Steinmetz Hall, will enable DPAC to hold multiple events at a time and continue the mission of bringing arts to every life.

Beyond the professional performances that can be seen, The Dr. Phillips Center offers other opportunities for students interested in the arts through their education program. The Dr. Phillips Center partners with Advent Health to bring in artists and teachers to teach students interested in the performing arts. Classes are available for students of all ages and subjects, from adult tap to musical theater. In addition to these semester-long classes, vocal and dance Master Classes are available for select Broadway shows and taught by cast members of the show.
