The first Pep Rally
After the cancellation of the first football game, Seminole High School (SHS) students were more hyped than ever for the first big pep rally. Although there was a lunch pep rally the week before, students can agree that gym pep rallies are more exciting and get us hyped more.
This game’s theme was black out and the majority of the students were dressed up and participating in the event.
As students entered the pep rally, band and drumline played music while dazzlers were dancing in the middle. Sophomores were on one side while juniors and seniors were both on the other side of the stands. After everyone was settled in, varsity dazzlers performed followed by a performance by the cheer team using signs to spell out word Bokey, then junior varsity dazzlers showed their hip hop routine. After all the dancers performed, it was time for the leadership led game. This game was a balloon race where one person from each grade would race against each other by popping balloons on lined up chairs. Whoever popped all the balloons on their chairs first won. Santi represented the sophomores, Myles represented the juniors, and Mathew represented seniors. In the end it was a win for the juniors with Myles popping all the balloons first! The pep rally came to an end with everyone gathering in the center and chanting football chants.
The Second Pep Rally
Utter silence in the gym.
this wasn’t due to the fact that students weren’t hype enough, this was because of the weather.
After the first pep rally, heavy rain and lightening fell upon SHS causing administration to make a tough call and cancel the second pep rally. SHS went into a weather lockdown, with no one allowed to leave the gym or their classrooms. This choice was to put the safety of the students first, a priority of SHS.
The school has not yet released if the second pep rally will be rescheduled or just cancelled altogether, but the Seminole Times will be on the lookout for more information.
As always go Noles!
