HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS CREEPS IN

This year’s month of October brings another treat for all thrill seekers. It’s the 23rd incarnation of Halloween Horror Nights that brings many scares and memorable experiences every year.

The nation’s premiere Halloween event will be taking place on select nights from September 20 until November 2. The full schedule and the times for each day are located on Universal Studio’s website.

When it comes to pricing, a general admission ticket can cost up to $92. If you’re a Florida resident or an Annual Pass holder then there are discounted prices depending on which day the ticket is for. More information can be found on the ticket section at Universal’s website.

To talk about what is included with the purchase of a ticket, this year has 8 brand new themed haunted houses. To begin the list is The Walking Dead, a house that was featured the past year at Horror Nights. Next houses up are Evil Dead, The Cabin in the Woods, An American Werewolf in London, Resident Evil, La Llorona, Havoc Derailed, and AfterLife.

Senior Anthony Reyes warned visitors, “Get an Express Pass!”

Another aspect of Halloween Horror Nights are the scare-zones. Scare-zones are designated areas at Universal Studio’s in which they have scare-actors give it they’re all to scare you. Even when you’re not in a house you are very likely to get frightened. This year’s scare-zones focuses on the show The Walking Dead. It takes locations from the show and scatters them around the park.

Junior Selena Marino said, “Wear comfortable shoes, and get ready to sit down.”

Now come the tips and tricks to keep mind if you have never been to HHN in the past.

  • Always make sure to purchase online if it’s an option. Most tickets will be sold out by the time someone goes to buy a ticket at the park
  • With already having your ticket make sure you get there at least an hour before the event opens. It’s called the nation’s premiere Halloween event for a reason.
  • Be prepared to wait in line at the most popular houses.
