The Beta Chi Halloween Movie Night was an enjoyable event that featured laughter, delicious refreshments, and creative costumes. Attendees gathered to experience a festive atmosphere while watching a thrilling Halloween film. The evening successfully combined entertainment and community spirit in a memorable celebration.
The movie started off with a booming costume contest. There were 3 categories within the contest: most creative costume, funniest costume, and best group costume. The audience erupted with excitement as they chose the winners for each category. The best group was won by David Uy, Temi Olusola, and Gianelly Marin; The funniest costume was won by Sri Aditya Neppalii, and the most creative costume was won by Soraya Kadir. Soraya Kadir, an IB Sophomore, shared how she felt when she won the contest: “I felt very accomplished when I won! I spent some time on my costume.” The time and effort she put into creating her costume had paid off, making the moment even more meaningful.
Next, various types of sweets and pizza were available for club members to enjoy. The tables were filled with a wide selection of treats, from cookies and cupcakes to warm slices of pizza, creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere. Members gathered in the courtyard to share food, laugh, and talk about the contest. Next, everyone enthusiastically went into the auditorium to watch the movie 5 nights at Freddy’s. One of the club officers Boomika Jitu Srininvasan shares how the officers and her felt about the event: “I felt excited for the event and after the event was done, all the officers were happy about the event,” showing how great this event truly was.
The Halloween Movie Night ended on a joyful note, leaving everyone with fun memories and a sense of community.
