With Florida not experiencing temperatures dropping or leaves falling, the only way to know that fall is officially beginning is with the return and addition of new themed drinks to coffee menus, such as those at Starbucks and Dunkin’! When thinking of fall, the words cozy and warm come to mind, and those feelings are definitely seen in the limited menu filled with pumpkin spice and pecan flavors everywhere.
Starbucks’ fall menu is the most anticipated for the coffee shop of the year, so they make sure not to disappoint. Returning for the past two decades is the iconic Pumpkin Spiced Latte, which is an espresso mixed with pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg, topped off with whipped cream and pumpkin-pie spice. “My favorite is the pumpkin spice latte. Anything pumpkin-flavored tastes amazing. I also want to try the apple croissant, it looks delicious,” Health Academy senior, Sophie Sperra, shares. “I look forward to the fall menu; fall is one of my favorite times of the year, so when the menu comes out, I know fall has officially started.”
Alongside its return is the fan favorite Iced Pumpkin Spiced Latte, which is the same as the latte, but iced. A new drink joining the limited menu this year is the Pecan Oatmilk Cortado, which is filled with rich pecan flavors, three ristretto espresso shots, and oatmilk! The iced version of this is the Iced Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte, which has the same fillings as the oatmilk latte, but this time topped with vanilla sweet cream cold foam. An Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai also returns this year with its pumpkin spice and pumpkin cream cold foam, sure to satisfy your cravings. The last drink on this limited menu is the Pumpkin Cretypingam Cold Brew, a cold coffee with vanilla, pumpkin cream cold foam, and pumpkin spice.
Drinks are not the only thing on the fall menu, though, as limited foods are also available. One of them is the New Italian Sausage Egg Bites which contain eggs, an Italian sausage, Monterey Jack Cheese, basil, and tomato pesto. More fall treats include the Pumpkin Cheese Cream Muffin, Baked Apple Croissant, and a Pumpkin & Pepita Loaf.
If this Starbucks menu doesn’t satisfy any fall cravings, perhaps this limited Dunkin menu will! A returning drink this year includes the Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte, similar to the Starbucks one. “I really want to try the Pumpkin Spice Latte, either the Starbucks one or the Dunkin’ one,” Seminole High School (SHS) senior, Sofia Antonio, shares, “Even though I don’t drink much coffee, I wonder if it lives up to the hype.”
A new and unique drink joining the menu is the Cereal n Milk Iced Latte, which is espresso mixed with marshmallow-flavored cereal milk, made with real cereal.
While Starbucks focuses more on drinks this fall, Dunkin’ focuses more on food, offering a bunch of new and returning options to choose from. Two new additions are the Chipotle Hash Brown Wake-Up Wrap, featuring bacon, egg and cheese, all with hash browns, and the Chipotle Loaded Hash Browns. A returning favorite on the menu is the Maple Sugar Bacon, which is available in the Maple Sugar Bacon Breakfast Sandwich, Wake-Up Wrap, and Snackin’ Bacon. Do not forget about pumpkin when mentioning these new treats. Dunkin’ brings Pumpkin Donuts, Pumpkin Munchkins, and an Iced Pumpkin Loaf, which is a pumpkin and vanilla loaf cake, all with cream cheese icing on top.
With these menus only lasting a limited time and ending around November, make sure you check them out while you still can!
