Throughout the week, students dress up in different ways to showcase different aspects of the movie. This spirit week not only brings creativity through, but it also brings 2000’s fashion styles as people dress from the past.
Students across campus were all looking forward to different days throughout the week. A junior, Mashal Ahmed, says that “for spirit week, I am really excited for Wednesday, because it is kind of an iconic day due to the famous line from the movie- On Wednesdays we wear pink.” Showing how each day of spirit week brings its own unique theme and excitement, making the entire week a fun and memorable celebration of school spirit.
To start off the week people dressed up as savanna animals. On Tuesday, students dress like it is a costume party and wear the best costume they have.Wednesday is the most anticipated day of the spirit week because it is pinkout. Thursday is Mathletes vs The Plastics,where people either dress as a Math Nerd or a Popular Girl from the movie to display their support for the upcoming high school musical about mean girls. On Friday, it is dress like your favorite mean girls character to display love and excitement for the mean girls musical.
This spirit week here not only shows creativity and enjoyment of students, but is also there to raise awareness for the upcoming school musical about Mean Girls. This play starts on Thursday and lasts till Sunday. This play is one of the most anticipated shows performed at school because everyone loves and enjoys this movie. Students who are a part of the play are very excited for the musical they are performing. One such student, Savannah Credit, a senior, shares: “I am really excited for spirit week because I can see everyone’s support, and I am really excited for everyone to come because we have been working really hard.” The amazing dedication the crew has for this show can easily be seen through their hard work. Therefore, you should go to the musical, participate in spirit week, and go to the Mean Girls musical to show your spirit and support the hardworking crew of the musical.
