Sadly our Noles took a loss last night against Monarch leaving the score at 20-34. A loss is never truly a loss in their mind; it just makes them work ten times harder at practice the next week. Last night was also our youth night for middle school. They had a chance to perform with high schoolers with from band, dazzlers, and our cheer team. They got to feel how it is to be on the field or in the stadiums performing. These middle schoolers worked really hard for about three weeks to get ready for this night , which meant so much to them and their family.
Jasira Bennette, junior shared her experience on the sidelines as a cheerleader for youth night “Youth Night was such an exciting experience for me. I loved meeting all the fun little personalities and creating unforgettable memories with them. The cheer team got the chance to learn more about the middle schoolers and have some fun. Bennette shares “The best part of the night was stunting and cheering alongside them—getting to know them, answering their questions, and even explaining how the game works. It was truly a night I’ll never forget.”
Even though we had lost last night there were still some highlights of the game.
We have Davarian Jefferson running over 50 yards last night, sprinting across the field effortlessly. J’len Chaplin also consistently worked hard on the field, recovering the ball for his team and scoring a touchdown in the 3rd quarter. What a player!
Then we had our offensive linemen doing their best to put some points on the scoreboard.
Maddox Blaine, junior who plays offensive line left tackle shares his experience from last night “Losing never feels good but it’s always a learning experience, cause there is always something we can fix on both sides of the ball in every capacity.” Blaine is dedicated to his team win or loss, “ am proud of myself for being a leader for my position group in rough moments throughout the game and that I was able to play this game despite not being fully healed from an injury that happened two weeks ago.”
What a game and there is always next time to come back ten times better.
As always, GO NOLES!
