What a game folks! Our Noles took a big win against Lyman ending the score at 55-0. Our noles have really stepped it up and we all should be proud of them in our school community. These players have worked really hard to get here, but the season isn’t over yet so these players plan to persevere till the end.
Last night was not just special because of our big win but because the game was dedicated to one of our own, Ethan Pritchard, a college freshman player for Florida State University who was injured last week and left in critical condition. Together as a community we are standing by Ethan’s side and supporting him every step of the way.
To honor our alumni, Omari Griffin wore Ethan’s number last night at the game and was deemed captain to represent him. Some highlights of the game include Anthony Gabe making touchdowns left and right really stepping up for his team last night. Kemahri Freeman also picked up 8 to 9 yards and got the handoff, leading to a marvelous touchdown.
Jackson Robbins, junior shares: “ My goal for tonight is to get a few touchdowns, show out for my team and to excel at every part of the game, and most importantly to do it for Ethan.” Even though Robbins did not get a touchdown, he did manage to catch the ball and sprint a few yards. Therefore the next play our team got a touchdown because of Robbins. Robbins shares that to mentally prepare pregame he mediates and listens to music to get in the right headspace.
Then we have Daicorian Douglas, junior on the field as an inside linebacker. He tackles Lyman’s players from making a touchdown not once but twice leaving the crowd in awe. Douglas shares after the game “The win felt great. We put in a lot of work this week at practice while also going through challenges, but my goal was to play for Ethan and I achieved it by going 100% every snap of the ball.”
Our Seminole football players have done it again, they worked as a team last night and made sure the game was not just for them but for Ethan Pritchard as well.
Well done! GO NOLES!
