Seminole High School (SHS) sprang into summer this April 3rd with our annual spring sports pep rally! Each grade was color coordinated with freshmen wearing yellow, sophomores in blue, juniors with pink, and seniors in orange. The overall theme for the pep rally was colorful and tie dye, and students did not disappoint.
Starting off the rally was the pop see ko song remix for all the grade levels, along with cheer and drum line. Next came out the spring sports for the season: Baseball, girls wrestling, girls basketball, boys lacrosse, girls lacrosse, girls volleyball, boys weightlifting, boys and girls track and field, and girls and boys tennis. Following these sports was a special shoutout to both junior varsity and varsity dazzlers for being national champions. Once the sports announcements were done, leadership took the time to honor all their graduating seniors and officers.
Afterwards, the games began! At this pep rally, Lead introduced two new games. The first one, called Buggie Up, Buggie Down, consisted of a leadership representative telling commands to the participants, like “Buggie up!” and one participant gets on another’s back. When they heard “Buggie down,” the players both stood on the ground. When the players hear “Buggie Squat, they have to squat as low as possible with their partners on their backs. The game started with six different teams, and, based on crowd voting, eliminated the teams one by one. The junior class won the first pep rally and got to take the spirit stick to their section! The senior Dazzlers won the second pep rally!
The second game, called Hungry Hippo, is when two partners from one class worked together to collect as many balls as they can from the center of the gym. One person holds their legs and “steers” them, while the other lies on their stomach atop a plastic scooter. The seniors won twice during the second pep rally, with 53 balls!
Overall, this year’s spring pep rally was a huge success and a great last pep rally for the 2025-2026 school year! Go Noles!
