GOOD JOBS LAST A LIFETIMES: TOP FIVE FUTURE JOB FIELDS

A career that is chosen is supposed to last a lifetime, so it might as well be likable. Not only that, but it should be lucrative, stable, and stress free. With so many fields to go into, the following five jobs bellow have good salaries, require a degree, and are expected to increase in demand for the next ten years. Getting out of high school is only the first step, but preparation for the real world starts now.

1. The medical field will have the highest demand for future jobs. A 23% increase in nursing jobs is expected in the future. Helping people, being able to tolerate blood and other injuries are all good qualities for a potential applicant to the medical field. While Health Academy students have knowledge and training for the medical field, not all of them want to be in that field. Bree Carreras wants to be a pediatrician, while an anonymous health academy student does not want to go into the medical field. Aside from doctors, nurse practioners can prescribe medicines and make over $80,000 a year.

2. The technology sector is a field that is in demand and will continue to be in the future. Jobs include software engineers, which are expected to have a 21% growth in demand over the next 10 years. Computer software engineers make, test, and release computer programs. Their average salary is over $100,000 a year.

3. Jobs in financial services such as actuaries, who predict the statistical probability of events occurring, are part of a unique field that is growing strongly. Other financial services include accountants and financial advisors.

4. Education is a career that includes a wide variety of professions, including college professors and teachers at every level: from elementary schools to high school. With the poor economy, people are stressing the importance of schooling and continued education. Getting good grades and then going to college can better improve the chances of a good future. This leads to a job market open for the people who are going to teach others. Research shows that fewer kids are dropping out of school and increasing attendance, causing the need for more teachers. Mrs. Melanie Craven, history and economic teacher, loves “helping teens on the brink of their adult life,” the most. She helps them with their “personal resource management skills” such as cars, apartments, and bank accounts that they may have.

5. Medical technicians can earn from $30,000-$60,000 annually, and require less schooling than a nurse practitioner or a doctor. Amongst those professions are physical therapists, veterinary assistants, and dental hygienists. These jobs are ideal for someone who is ready to get into their career field quickly and early. Technical schools to teach these professions are typically shorter than traditional colleges and universities, but such careers can often make less money in the long run.

Everyone has their own future to make the most of, and each person will make a different decision. Hopefully, that decision is to go to receive an education, make a good living, and live a happy life. Whatever life may bring, do not let it lead to misfortune, but instead prosperity through choosing the right job.
