A crushing last minute loss to Oakridge and an utterly humiliating loss to Oviedo gave our team an enormous climb out of a self dug hole. However in a close battle between the Seminoles and the Lake Howell Silverhawks, the Seminoles came victorious in a much needed win. Though only by one point, they finally got that first win on the board.
This victory puts our Seminoles at 1-2 for the year. The Seminole football team now must focus on the game against the University Titans this Friday.
There is a lot riding on this week’s game. Going 1-3 after 4 weeks would be a very tough hole in the divisional standings, but going 2-2 would make a significant difference in the way the standings would look for the rest of the year.
The Seminoles are trying to get back to 07-08 form when they won the statewide championship.
In order to get back to this form, the Seminoles must get back to basics. They need to cut down on mistakes. In that heartbreaking loss to Oakridge, Seminole QB threw a pick late that ultimately decided the game.
Even though things look grim at the moment, everyone at Seminole feel that players will rally around each other and pull an amazing come back in the standings in which we rank 11th in class 6a.
