There are many big cities here in Florida that are popular for their unique lifestyles and tourist aspects. Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, and Orlando are examples of such cities. As summer is approached, numerous concerts will be happening here in the Sunshine State.

First off, a Bon Iver concert! Bon Iver is a folk-rock band from Wisconsin, consisting primarily of founding member and frontman Justin Vernon, who is joined by additional members Sean Carey, Matthew McCaughan, Michael Lewis, Andrew Fitzpatrick, and Jenn Wasner for live performances and some recordings. This concert will be on Friday, April 15th in Miami at the Solar Amphitheater.

The next upcoming concert is La Chica Dorado and La Reina de Corazones. Paulina Rubio and Alejandra Guzman are bringing a once-in-a-lifetime Perrisimas US Tour to the Hard Rock Live Orlando stage on Friday, April 15th, 2022. Tickets are on sale now, so make sure to check it out if you are interested! Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM at Hard Rock Live Orlando located at Universal Orlando’s CityWalk.

There will also be a Bad Bunny concert happening later in the year on August 5th and 6th. He is proclaimed the most listened-to artist in the world for a second consecutive year by Spotify. Bad Bunny is bringing his first stadium tour “Bad Bunny: World’s Hottest Tour” to Orlando’s Camping World Stadium. Many Florida residents who are Bad Bunny fans are excited for him to be making an appearance in Orlando. The concert location allows them an additional advantage of attending the concert without going too far from home.

Chris Rock will be performing at the Walt Disney theater while on his Ego Death world tour. He will be there for two shows. The first show is on the 27th of July and the second will be held on the 28th. It will begin at 8 pm on both days. This show is a little mature. If you have a problem with that or that’s not something you want to see, then this may not be the show for you. The event will be a phone-free experience. Use of phones, smartwatches and accessories, will not be permitted in the performance space. Anyone seen using a device during the performance will be escorted out of the venue by security. Audience members are only allowed to use their devices in certain areas at the event which is different from your usual concert/show. The unique experience will certainly make this interesting!

SHS traditional Sophomore Cristal Rodriguez states, “There is a Laura Maurano concert happening in July and I’m really looking forward to it because I’ve always loved her due to my childhood memories of watching Austin and Ally. I’m glad she grew up and became her own successful artist. I love her music.”

SHS sophomore Eliana Thomas expresses, “I’m surprised Chris Rock didn’t cancel his tour because of what happened at the oscars. I thought he was going to because that may have affected the tour in some way I don’t know.”

Florida Residents will have many opportunities to attend concerts this year because celebrities will be stopping by in our most popular cities for their tours. You should absolutely consider going to one or multiple of these shows to enhance your summer this year before it is over!
